There are probably a great many tasks I can accomplish on a lonely Sunday night while laborously typing up a lab report. There are probably a great many vital things I could be thinking about now. But no-- my rebellious mind prefers to finish up this little mad piece of fluff instead. I guess everyone can just think of this as an early (and thankfully inexpensive) holiday present. ;)
Beware small images and a bit of perviness and schmoopiness (two great tastes that go great together!) up ahead. And a few hearty nods of appreciation go to Kelly of Flor di Battaglia (she of the original and awesome Top 10 Reasons to Fangirl Larsa list) and
selphish. Trudy, if it weren't for you, I'd have neither have most of the images to (badly) manipulate nor a great community to post this in. Bravo to you and your hard work!
And without any further drivel, I'm pleased to present the top 10 reasons to ship Larsa and Penelo together!
Reason #10: Because you never know a man until you walk a mile in his shoes-- and Penelo and Larsa already share the same taste in foot wear.

Reason #9: Because otherwise, the chances of Larsa ending up in an arranged marriage with a scary female version of Al-Cid are far, far, FAR too high.

Reason #8: Because his father sired four sons and had the last one in his, shall we say, advanced elder years. Apparently, the men of House Solidor could put those horrible late night "natural male enhancement" commercials to shame!

Reason #7: Because there's probably quite a few unorthodox ways to use potions that Larsa can discover only as a young man. And who better than a very "good friend" to serve as a test subject...?

Reason #6: Because we see them collectively kick Vaan's butt when he's rude. All couples need an activity they enjoy together-- telling him to grow the hell up could be theirs.

Reason #5: Because the entire end of the game is framed around a letter she wrote to him. Now that's the power of friendship right there!

Reason #4: Because Larsa is going to be a stunner when he finishes grows up and his voice drops a few octaves. You know it, I know it, we just need Penelo to figure it out!

Reason #3: Because the first thing Larsa does when he meets Penelo is grab her hand and drag her off to a Bhujerban sugar shack of love. Doesn't that give anyone else any ideas...?

Reason #2: Because the second thing Larsa does when he's with Penelo is angrily enquire as to why she was kidnapped in the first place and then get down on his knees as he promises to protect her. Romance lives after all!

Reason #1: Because true love never dies-- and real friendship always lives.

Image Credits: This post contains very, very many various images from so many various sites that I don't know if I've listed them all. But among the most prominent are: RPGamer, Flor di Battaglia, Polymnia, and pretty much all the Japanese fansites in this post. If I've left any out, please let me know and I'll edit the post ASAP!

(BTW, do you know anybody at all whose interested in writing a serious ship manifesto for Larsa and Penelo? Because if not, I might dash my brains against rocks once more and try and pen one...)
And oh, please tell me you aren't serious about your fandom love dying. I know I've said it before, but really, you're like the light of my life and the fire of my loins in the Larsaxpenelo comm. I would be ridiculously sad if you left it in it's infancy!
LOL at 9, 8, and 3. XD
As for making lists... uh, well, I'll be coming out with one for why Penelo ROCKS HARDCORE quite soon. I'm afraid this one will likely have no graphics, however. ;)
And #8's helped me finally make the connection between how old Larsa is and how old his father must have been when he was conceived (barring any possibility that he's not actually legitimate). o.O yep, Penelo's either going to be very happy or very, very tired. XD
And yes, poor Penelo. Being an insatiable emperor's wife/lover in the future must be a terrible burden to bear. But she's strong... I'm sure she'll somehow make do after all. ;)
#6 --> LOL!
And Vaan is so going to be their perenial punching bag, horrified confidant and long-suffering god-father to their children. So. I pity him in the years ahead! ;)
Sheer brilliance and every reason cracked me up... XP But favourite has got to be 9, 6, 3, 2, thought the rest are equally good as well. But reason 4 have a place in my heart now due to the fanart which you've included.
Speaking of sugar thighs (according to reason 3), care to watch this AMV which I made for Larsa x Penelo... you'll understand what I mean when you watched it ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQKkb3cq
I'm glad you liked this list! I wrote this, my god, so long ago that I barely even remembered doing so. But yeah, it'll always hold a special place in my heart as one of my first works for the FFXII fandom. ♥ And as for 4... well, you just know Larsa is going to be hot like fire when he grows up, don't you? ;)
And sugar thighs FTW, man. Though Larsa would have to be a total nutter to ever call her that for real. XD
omg. Larsa. Penelo. Larsa. End game. And-- And-- Yeah. Larsa. And Penelo.
fangirling Larsalove. ;) ♥And picture #4 comes from the Older!Larsa fan-art collection so if ever you wanted to see him grow up real good... XD
And Larsa and Penelo at the end-game broke my heart. I mean, out of everyone else in the main party, she seemed to be the only one to realize how much it cost him to fight against his brother when Vayne finally showed his true self. And she was the only one to hold him and comfort him afterwards. They are just ♥ together.
(Hope you don't mind, Saf sent me the link and said it was awesome - I concur)
And hee, trust me, I don't mind at all! The more the merrier is the rule around here. ;)
